As the years put layers on James, he is wondering. Wondering if the layers will pile on, suppressing the real James underneath. Wondering if the process will purify the essence of him, or simply hide it. After peak oil and the following havoc the use of oil products just stopped. The reliance of oil for energy was known and alternatives were found, but the surprising crisis was the plastic crisis. How would society even function without plastics? The layers of the years, James mused, is my Plastic Puppet Mask.
